Happy New Year & lookie!

Wow!

When I posted my new headshot the other day, I had no idea that one of the publications that held it would be in my hands so soon. Honest! I worked on this issue for months along with four other fabulous writers and Darlene D'Agostino, our amazing editor. The research was *extensive*.

I just happened to be at the scrapbook store in Knoxville this afternoon, and there it was. Imagine my surprise! Of course I'll get several comps, but there was no way I could wait until the next regular mail day. That'll be Tuesday, won't it? And what if my comps aren't already in the mail??? So I bought a copy.

That lovely person next to me on the contributors' page is my good friend Diana Hudson, Masters '03. She's a sweetheart and a very talented designer for Carolee's Creations. I can't wait to see her again. We laughed together at CHA last year in Atlanta, and I hope she'll be at CHA Las Vegas. That's less than a month away. WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something to celebrate on a very uncharacteristic and inordinately dull NYE!

You just made my NYE, too, Bay! It's so exciting to see it finally! Yes, we'll be having some Lemondrops together in about a month - can't wait to see you again!

Woohoo! Congrats on the latest byline! I know that was a big assignment, and I can't wait to get my copy to see all your hard work.

Now, about CHA, I say we need to get our hands on the schedule and set up a time for you and your buddies to gather at the Peppermill Lounge, where Sharon Stone and Robert DeNiro liked to hang out between scenes while they were shooting Casino. I bet they serve a mean lemondrop, and you never know when you might run into a room full of Elvises. (No, really. I saw it there once.)

Hap..........py New Year!

Thanks so much for posting that cover! That's my daughter Mandy and her best friend in the photo, and I've been dying to see it.
